Man files unpaid overtime lawsuit in Sherman
A former employee at Viva Railings has filed a lawsuit against the company that states that they failed to pay overtime when they required employees to work over 40 hours.
According to the lawsuit, the man worked for Viva Railings from April 23, 2010 to November 22, 2011 and stated that for 39 weeks, he was not paid overtime even though he averaged 56 hours a week.
The man is now seeking the compensation from missed wages, the company has already paid the partial amount of overtime at this time. He is also seeking wages for physical pain, mental anguish, liquidated distress and punitive damages.
