Qualifying for the Family and Medical Leave Act
When employed with a company, one of the many benefits that most people receive is the ability to take time off. In Texas, employees are allowed to receive 12 weeks of paid or unpaid leave for family or personal injury/illness and the arrival of a new child under the Family and Medical Leave Act.
If your rights under the Family and Medical Leave Act have been denied or an employer has treated you negatively and without cause upon your return, our Austin FMLA retaliation lawyers of The Melton Law Firm are prepared to help you. Contact us by calling (512) 330-0017.
Eligibility Requirements
You are able to legally qualify for the benefits provided by the Family and Medical Leave Act if you meet the following requirements:

- Been an employee at the company for at least a year
- Work in a U.S. location where at least 50 employees work for the same company within a 75 miles radius
