The assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice has testified in a congressional hearing claiming that Muslim Americans are facing discrimination in the workplace and schools because of their religious beliefs.
Recently, there have been several cases brought up that show examples of the discrimination against Muslim Americans and witnesses have testified in a hearing with the Senate Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights.
According officials in the case, Muslims make up less than one percent of the U.S. population, but they make up at least 25 percent of all workplace discrimination cases.
